Members of last year’s CHS Polar Plunge team jump into Lake Winnebago in Oshkosh. This year, CHS’s team has raised $2,636 as of January 24, but their goal is $10,000. For every $1000 raised to help Special Olympics Wisconsin, CHS’s S.H.A.R.E. class has talked one or more school staff into pledging to take the plunge on February 15. If the team reaches its fundraising goal, 19 staff have agreed to participate, including the $10,000 group of Superintendent Mrs. Sue Kaphingst, CHS Principal Mr. Shawn Rude and CMS Principal Mr. Matt Kiel. To donate, go to https://www.classy.org/team/270541. Donations can be made to the team in general by clicking where the team’s goal is shown under “Campaign.” But those giving donations can also choose to donate to specific team members, who are each responsible for raising at least $75. To donate to an individual, click on “MEMBERS” and then select a team member.
