The Chilton varsity volleyball season ended last week with a loss to Notre Dame Academy in the first round of the playoffs. The girls ended their season with an overall record of six wins and 23 losses.

Mrs. Leah Cisler, the family and consumer economics teacher, coaches the varsity volleyball team.

Coach Cisler said, “The biggest highlight for me was watching this team never quit.”

Sadie Bartels, Alayna Gerner, Lauren Leitner, Morgan Owens and Ali Pinkert were the seniors who played for Coach Cisler this season.

“Seniors, whatever you do,” Coach Cisler said, “give it your best effort.”

Morgan Owens said, “I love being a part of this team because it’s another family that I get to be a part of and grow closer to throughout the season.

While she was playing on varsity, Ali Pinkert said, “It’s fun — more challenging — but fun.”

Coach Cisler will continue to coach volleyball as long as it doesn’t stop her from spending time with her family. “I love volleyball, but at some point in time, my family is going to have to come first,” Coach Cisler said. I miss a lot and sacrifice a lot that I don’t get to see my kids or do their sports things.”

Ms. Taylor Hasse coached the JV2 squad to an undefeated season.
