Nomination statement: “Cody has been a fantastic role model for other students this year. He has shown an unbelievable amount of growth and deserves to be recognized for going above and beyond expectations each day.”

Q&A:

What was a dream career you had as a child? “I wasn’t sure of what I wanted to be, but then when the pandemic came to our world, an opportunity came to me to help the world.”

Where do you see yourself in five years? “A good dad because . . . I have looked after children, I have helped them and it’s adorable to be with loved ones.”

What is your secret talent? “Caring for others because us human beings need help more than anything.”

What is one place you would really like to visit and why? “Because I was born and raised in Wisconsin, I want to live in South Carolina to start a new life for myself because I never went to any other state in my life.”

Whom is one person — alive or dead — you would like to share a meal with? “John Kennedy because he’s one of my favorite presidents because he served in WWII and he’s cool.”
