Nomination statement: “I cannot tell you how many times I have heard someone say Jordy always has a smile for them in the hallway! It is a simple way he shares a little joy with others each day. I also have Jordy in class this semester. He has been very helpful in making sure other students understand things and is able to help me explain things when a language barrier is making it difficult. I appreciate his hard work and willingness to help others.”

What was a dream career you had as a child? “To be a professional soccer player. And I still dream of that and feel capable of being a professional soccer player.”

If you were a donut, what kind would you be and why? “I would be frosted chocolate because it is very nice and I like that.”

If you knew me, you would know that I . . . “like to play soccer.”

Whom is one person — alive or dead — you would like to share a meal with? “With my whole family, of course.”

What is your dream job? “I want to be an engineer.”
